Today, I spent some time outdoors, barefoot and coat-less! The sun was shining, the ground felt warm under my feet, and the air FELT like spring! It was 65 degrees today in Michigan! A temperature usually reserved for late April. I opened the windows wide, shut off the heaters (yes, our furnace is still broken), and spent the day cleaning the house. I could not believe what a glorious day today was! Strong cold winds began to rip through the streets around 4, so it was time to close the house up again. But the sweet scent of fresh air still lingers in the house with the promise that there will be more of these wonderful days to come.
Days like today make me realize how closely connected to the God and Goddess I really am. I didn't just experience a great day, I was allowed to experience the changing of the seasons. Something most people take for granted. It's easy to miss, I'll admit it. I'm always happy to see the brown grass turn green and the leaves explode into view. I realized today though...I don't really pay any attention to the change. It just seems like all of a sudden *poof* it's spring/summer. This year, I've actually paid attention to things going on outside of my own little world. And all I can say is WOW!! All the little things that I usually miss or just don't pay attention too seem to have so much more significance this year. I've noticed the small tufts of grass popping up and turning green. I've watched in awe as the tree across the street from me sprouts tiny red buds on the tips of all it's branches, waking up out of a season long slumber.
I cannot wait to be able to get out and start preparing my herb garden bed and the other pots and containers I intend to use for a garden this year. My activity is somewhat limited so I am trying my best to get everything done before the baby arrives. I may even grow a faery garden this year.
Ostara is coming up rapidly, I have no idea if I will be able to do anything special this year. I am going to have to keep it simple. The pregnancy is taking its toll, especially, going into this third trimester. I will have the Ostara information up on the Sabbat page sometime within the next week. My goal is tomorrow, but things tend to change quickly with me ^_^ .

The good, bad, and fun times of a stay-at-home mother who also happens to be a witch.
Merry We Meet!!
This is my space to share, rant, rave, and even do a little bragging about my life choices, family, and where each are taking me.
Many people think 'witch' and immediately jump to the conclusion that I am some weirdo who's home smells like stale incense and thinks Mr. Potter is end all be all of magick. I hate to disappoint, but I am as normal as the next person. As much as a person can be normal.
So, please read on. Enjoy my trials and tribulations. Hopefully, you can learn something from the mistakes I make and the good fortunes that come my way.

100 days left!!
That's right!! Just 100 days left until our little man joins the family! (give or take)
100 days.... the number sounds pretty large, doesn't it?! However every mother knows that the time flies and there never seems to be enough time to get everything done before the baby comes! I have a list that seems like a mile long. Unfortunately, I am having so many blood pressure issues that I am usually confined to my bed. And after yesterday morning, I was rushed into the ER for severe pain, my activities are even more limited.
I am so lucky to have some amazing family and friends though! I couldn't get through this without all of them. My man is so understanding too. He doesn't bitch or get upset that the house is a mess, that there are dishes in the sink (Which is so rare for our house anyway. I am a an extreme clean freak!), nor does he complain that I haven't really cooked dinner in 6 months!
One of my closest friends and I are putting together my baby shower. Which is kind of at a stand still because my mother is going in for spinal surgery in 4 days. The date of the shower kind of depends on her recovery.
There are many many many things I still want to get done around the house. I still have to get the cradle and everything set up... I don't even know where I am going to put the baby's clothes at the moment. He doesn't have a dresser. Oy!!
To top all this off, Baby-Daddy is leaving for Illinois for two weeks in 9 days for work -.- .... talk about bad timing. Granted, I'd rather it be now then after the baby comes. I know he's not ecstatic about leaving me at home either... but there are really no other options.
My son, who is 8 1/2 is absolutely amazing right now. He is so protective and attached to me right now. He comes home from school, does his homework and plays video games and watches TV in my room with me. He refuses to go play with his friends, or even go out with my parents unless I am with him. He makes sure that I am never alone except when he is at school. And I am pretty sure given a choice, he'd chose to stay home with me. He can't wait for the baby to come. He talks to my tummy everyday.
Well, medications are making me dizzy and sleepy. So I am going to call it a post for today!
Blessed Be!!
